Himesha Reshammiya Caught in Burqa at Dargah

Music director and playback singer Himesh Reshammiya on Wednesday apologised for wearing a burqa during his visit to the dargah of Khawja Moinuddhin Chishti in Ajmer.

The chief of the shrine’s governing body (sadar dargah committee) Pirjada Sibli Kasim, had alleged Reshammiya of “ridiculing Muslim religious tradition”.

Reshammiya had come to Ajmer for ziyarat (pilgrimage) to seek blessings and success for his upcoming film Aap ka Suroor to be released this Friday. He is making a debut as an actor in the film. “If I have committed any mistake, I apologise as my intentions were not to hurt anyone’s religious feelings at the dargah,” said Reshammiya.
