After watching Roger Federer defeat Spaniard Tommy Robredo in the quarter-final of the French Open, newlyweds Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan made their way to the UK for the IIFA (International Indian Film Awards) weekend. They arrived at the York train station in York, in northern England, on June 7.

Shilpa Shetty Celebrates her Birthday in UK

The India International Film Academy Awards gala begins on Thursday but the stars have started reaching UK already. And the first of the lot is Shilpa Shetty, a star for whom UK is second home now. CNN-IBN Entertainment Editor Rajeev Masand caught up with her.

Rajeev Masand: Your birthday is on Friday and you are going to celebrate it with your fans and your colleagues.

Shlipa Shetty: Yes, that is interesting though, I am not thrilled about the fact that everybody is going to know how old I am (laughs). I am not someone who likes to celebrate my birthday. I just let it slip by every year.

Rajeev Masand: All your friends from Bollywood are going to be at this party. Is Jade Goody invited?

Shlipa Shetty: No, because she is not from Bollywood (bursts out laughing).

Giving reasons for this choice, Editor Ellie O'Ready says, "Mallika is truly one of the 100 most beautiful people in Asia and our list just wouldn't be complete without her." Cover magazine will follow this honor to Mallika by doing a major pictorial feature and interview with the Murder star within the next few weeks.

Himesh Reshammiya wants to leave no stone unturned in making his debut film Aap Kaa Surroor: The Moviee - The Real Luv Story a big success. An animated character called HR2 which resembles Reshammiya has been created. K Communications are the team behind this ambitious and creative endeavour. This character will be shown in the video of Tera Mera Milna (remix version). There will be two characters in the video around which a love story will be woven.Himesh said that it was his and director Prashant Chadda’s brainchild that thought that it would target both children and adults alike. The video is going on air on June 10 and HR2 will announce the date of the release of the film, June 29. Not only will the animated characters be in the video, but they will also make appearance in the film. Something like this was seen before in Hum Tum.
